Baroque and Extremely Spanish lots of CHROME.......Peruvian Paso
Professionally Show Trained by Master Trainer from Peru, Successful Broodmare, Top Bloodlines
There are limited breeders of this wonderful Spanish breed. Besides the Peruvian Paso Registry there are several other Spanish horse registries. Due to the owners worsening allergies she will not be breeding any more so is offering her number one foundation mare for sale. This Spanish breed is considered rare, so finding a foundation quality mare at an affordable price is not easy. At 15 hands she can be bred down to include the new and upcoming market of Spanish Gaited Ponies with only a handful of breeders, and special Spanish/Gaited registries of their own. This mare has tons of Chrome and Flare.
The Peruvian Paso is considered the Cadillac of gaited horses. They possess a four beat stepping pace similar to the Paso Fino, but with more stride, and the Peruvians are a larger bodied horse. At present there are approximately 20,000 Peruvians in North America and only about 40,000 Peruvian horses in existence in the world. This was in large due to Peru's tight breeding and export control to keep this breed clean with their original Spanish traits in tact. The original Spanish horse brought to Peru was comprised of the Spanish Jennet, the Barb, the Friesian, and the Andalusian.

Bred by the famous owners of Pecan Valley Ranch (http://www.peruviandigest.com/anderson/home.htm). They are very well known for their knowledge of this breed and Lucho Dapelo's family is well known and respected as breeders/trainers in Peru. They know the best. The Dapelo's owned the famous stallion "Fenix", Estrella's sire (Known for his amazing beauty, flare and gait, all traits he passed on to his 237 direct sons and daughters - and 477 descendants! On February 18, 2007, Fenix was euthanized due to a colic impaction. At 28 years old, he was sound and otherwise healthy). Fenix created a legacy and now is a chance to own one of his daughters, that are harder and harder to come by, to start your own breeding program or as the fanciest ride around. Estrella's full older sister from the previous year sold for $14,000 as a two year old. Both Jeanelle and Lucho at the time agreed that Estrella was equal or better then her sister. Estrella has many, many Champion siblings and relatives, to many to list.
Kim purchased her as a weanling, but sent her back as a long three year old for Lucho and Marco Dapelo to train (Master Trainers from Peru). She was fully trained in the bit, and shown briefly before being bred to Anibal (photos available), who had just been imported from Peru, and then she returned home. The entire breeding and foaling process was extremely smooth and she is a very good mother.
This mare is spirited (but has sense) so needs a confident rider with at least intermediate skills. Nice big robust mare with strong feet (never had shoes on), good with ears, loads, clips, ties, etc. She is extremely flashy with four high white stockings, star, snip, and white on the lip, and belly (Sabino), and could probably qualify as a spotted. She is a black dun, with an unusual coat marking called reverse dappling, which she passed on to her foal. Both can only be seen at certain times of the year due to her very black coat. She has that classic long thick Spanish mane and tail that is wavy. She has great lift, great termino, and amazing brio. She will go until she drops. She has a naturally high neck set and sets nice on the bit. She is just at or below 15 hands. Very, very smooth, wonderful canter, and is so elegant under saddle. This mare has what it takes to show, trail or breed. She would also make a fancy parade mount. Kim planned her foundation mares for many years and remember this mare is only for sale because her owner's allergies to horses has gotten very bad, otherwise she would not be on the market. She is regretfully for sale at a much lower price then she is worth. Don't let this foundation quality mare pass you by.
