The PWHR is open to half, three-quarter, seven-eighths and purebred Tennessee Walkers whose dam or sire was not bloodtyped.
The PWHR will help both the stallion and mare owner market registered offspring. The PWHR gives recognition to the foals' sire and or dam that may be Arabian, Appaloosa, Quarter Horse, Paint, Pony Breed, Warmblood, Etc...

The PWHR registration allows entry into most All Breed and Gaited Horse Shows and some Tennessee Walking Horse shows.
The PWHR does not require gait, but does require proof of sire or dam's TWHBEA, IPWHR or Canadian Walking Horse Registration.
The PWHR requires a color photo of each side of the horse, with leg and facial markings apparent.

All PWHR Horse's pedigrees can be entered into the www.cyberhorse.net Pedigree Research site. This can assist buyers and sellers of PWHR Horses.
The PWHR has been "appendixed" to the new breed registry for Walking Horses, the International Pleasure Walking Horse Registry, www.ipwhr.net as a benefit to both registries.

Horses registered with PWHR and having 75% or more TWH bloodlines on their papers can now get a set of Full Walking Horse papers and share in the benefits and services of a Breed Registry.
IPWHR provides all the services that TWHBEA does but at a cheaper rate and NO DUES!
PWHR registered horses that do a correct WALK are now eligible to show at the same sound shows that approve and accept the IPWHR registered horses.
Walking Horses that missed the bloodtyping deadline of TWHBEA can now be registered with a breed registry and have registration certificates, have the offspring registered, provide transfers etc. etc. after the first year all offspring will be DNA'd to parentage verify but in the first year they will be "grandfathered in" the new registry with a few provisions.
This is an opportunity for IPWHR to maintain the bloodlines of the Walking Horse and for PWHR registered horses to take their place in the world of full breed registered horses!
